Serve With Us

Be the hands and feet of Jesus

To serve is to become His hands and feet, giving to others as Jesus gave to us.

Join a Serve Team

Together, so others meet Jesus every week

We serve because every part of the body works together for His glory, so that people can meet God in ways that change their lives.

After you become a member of New River, we hope you will find a place on one of our serve teams, so that together we help others experience the love of Jesus each time they come to New River.

Before you sign up

Are there requirements for joining a serve team?

Some ministries require a license, prior experience or a minimum period of attendance at New River. Every volunteer also completes a background check and our Membership class. Examples of team-specific requirements: Security, usually former military or police, plus six months of consistent service in another ministry. Medical, a license, certification or degree. NRGen Ministry, six months of attendance (greeters and check-in excepted). Worship, an audition. Group Leaders, attending a group as an intern first.

How are volunteers scheduled?

Volunteers usually serve every other week. You can choose either the first, third and fifth Sundays of each month, or the second and fourth. Once you have picked a rotation, let us know whether you prefer the 9 AM or the 11 AM service.

What is the time commitment?

We ask every volunteer to arrive 30 minutes before the service so the team can gather, pray and hear any announcements before it begins.

Membership First
